Body positive is a huge thing in my life. I am constantly trying to practice what I preach, and I am definitely constantly preaching it. I feel that every time someone gets even .5% more comfortable in their own skin they deserve a lap around a track holding a rainbow flag and a slow-mo freeze frame with their victorious fist in the air. So when I was confronted with the idea that someone who is obese is promoting body positivity is also, by default, promoting obesity, I had to really think about if that was true. I sat down with my thoughts, I walked with them, I talked them out, and I came to a conclusion. And now I bring them to you, in the form of a podcast. Please enjoy.
In this episode I talk about:
#DontHateTheShake is a movement started by @yourstruelymelly, inspiring babes to dance their asses off without worrying about what their bodies look like in the process. 💃 Strip down, jiggle all around. If you do it, please tag me because I want to watch your bad self get down. Today’s dancing and outfit are a tribute to Obama’s last days in office, body positivity, and 90s hip hop. 🎵 #uncustomarylove #uncustomaryselflove
